Anthony Anyakora has over 30 years of professional engineering background. He is a graduate of Federal University of Technology, Minna; University of Warwick, Coventry, England; Federal Polytechnic, Idah, and National Open University of Nigeria, with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Master of Science in Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, and Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration in his kitty. Tony, as fondly called by his colleagues, is a COREN-Registered Engineer, and has worked in various engineering outfits in the United States of America and Nigeria, including lecturing at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (AE-FUNAI), and Michael Opara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Umuahia. Presently a visiting lecturer at the department of mechanical engineering, African University of Science and Technology, Abuja.
He retired recently after a meritorious outing as a Deputy Director in-charge of Works, Estate, Maintenance, and Services at the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD), Idu, Abuja - a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Health, where he successfully supervised the completion of a 5-floor laboratory complex and Drug Manufacturing Plant, including the design and installation of an effluent treatment facility at the Drug Manufacturing plant, supervised the provision of all engineering and allied facilities including laboratory equipment, professional advice on engineering construction and installation activities, Physical Planning, Procurement Planning, Design and implementation of Institute Security, Maintenance, and Safety Plans. He also served in several professional capacities as a member of the COREN Professional Engineering Interview Panel, and as a Resource person in the accreditation of engineering programmes in Nigerian Universities and Polytechnics.
His passion lies in strict compliance with quality and the timely delivery of services professionally.
